I Am Worthy

Let’s take a walk down Worthy Lane…

The New Year is upon us. Will 2024 be the year we own our worthiness? And more so, how do we define what it means to truly feel worthy?

As I took a stroll, something deep inside urged me to take my headphones off and reside in the silence. What happened after that was unpredictable.  I walked 3 miles down a lane of worthiness. I talked to myself out loud despite the glares. Little did onlookers know I was basking in my own worthiness. My mind, my heart and my soul began chattering with each other like three old friends. I felt like I was at the movies, witnessing a third-party dialogue … except it was happening on my mind’s stage.

The result of my inner chatter is a whole lot of worthy! …

  • I am worthy of going on a date with myself.

  • I am worthy of laying under the stars with a bottle of champagne.

  • I am worthy of saying no without explanation.

  • I am worthy of signing up for retreats.

  • I am worthy of loyal friendships.

  • I am worthy of mischief.

  • I am worthy of a healthy marriage.

  • I am worthy of jumping out of planes to feel alive.

  • I am worthy of disowning traditions that don’t align with who I am.

  • I am worthy of happy kids.

  • I am worthy of quiet strolls at the Rose Bowl.

  • I am worthy of compliments.

  • I am worthy of making eye contact with myself in the mirror every day.

  • I am worthy of walking away to protect my inner peace.

  • I am worthy of rejecting invites that don’t speak to me.

  • I am worthy of celebrating my birthday on my own terms.

  • I am worthy of a life worth living.

  • I am worthy of owning my youth without shrinking myself to make others feel whole.

  • I am worthy of exciting adventures.

  • I am worthy of setting clear boundaries so others know how I expect to be treated.

  • I am worth of being vulnerable and courageous at the same time.

  • I am worthy of naughty smiles.

  • I am worthy of closing old chapters without guilt.

  • I am worthy of a second career.

  • I am worthy of having salacious thoughts.

  • I am worthy of an intentional life.

I am worthy. I am worthy. I am worthy.

AND DEAR FRIEND, YOU ARE WORTHY TOO!

As we take inventory of the year, let’s place our worthiness at the forefront of our lives. The price to pay for living any other way is too high. The real question is, what actions will you take to make yourself feel worthy?
